Is your relationship in Crisis?

All relationships go through some form of crisis once in awhile. It’s never bullet-proof. Sometimes, the enemy is from within your circle, or even within yourself. So if you’re going through one right now, or one of your friends is, here’s what to do:

He Said: Relationships are heart-centered. And when this concerns that part of our being, our world grinds to a halt. The first thing I suggest is to go to the One who’s the best heart doctor: Jesus. Pray for healing, wisdom and blessing. Next, look at the big picture. Identify the bigger issue rather than the small ones. It will be easier to see the other perspective that way. Remember the happy times and see what needs to be fixed. Focus on the positive and what you cherish about the person and the relationship. Take responsibility. Forgiveness is easier after acknowledging your fault. Talk. Listen. That doesn’t need a long explanation, right? Then lastly, take steps to improve yourself and the relationship.

She Said: Every relationship is tested, but in different levels. Some go through trials that can easily be fixed, but others are more challenging. I’d say that, it doesn’t matter how easy or difficult your situation is, communication is still the key to a peaceful and loving surrounding. When faced with a problem, the first thing to do is accept that there is trouble, second is to pray for whatever you are going through, third is to talk about it, and last is to move on after settling everything. Ask God to protect and bless both of you. Prayer works wonders :)

Here’s a prayer I’d like to share:

“I offer you this prayer, to help me with my current relationship situation. Please take away all the pain and hurt in my heart. Fill it with love, joy, patience, and understanding. Bless me and my partner, so that we may never surrender to whatever challenges that come our way. Fill our hearts with love for each other, and may you make each one of us realize each other’s worth. Please touch the heart of my partner (or loved one), fill it with much love for me. Make our complicated relationship become uncomplicated. I seek for your mercy and blessing that you may allow us to spend the rest of our lives with each other. Please make this feeling mutual for both of us. Lead us not into temptations. Guide us wherever we go. Always put us in each other’s heart and mind. Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer. I love you. Amen.”
