My face ain’t fine but you’ve touched it with your soft hands
and you stroked my hair, caressing every strands.
I closed my eyes hoping this moment would last,
as I yawned them up you’ve gone very fast.

I used to listen to every word your mouth would labor,
all the music you’ve made all of them I savour.
You taught me art that no one can ever steal,
it’s the wound in my heart that no one could ever heal.

I’m the luckiest man in the world when I held you in my arms,
resting my face on your shoulder as I whispered, “I will never cause you harm.”
Your hands roamed around my face tracing line by line,
as you smiled and said, “I’m leaving, I know you’ll be fine.”
