Define the Relationship

by Ishi Padua | shared on He Said, She Said |

Entwined like a knotted rope
Holding tightly without plan of letting go
Squeezing one another when night gets cold
Swaying gently while walking down the road

Beating fast when you’re around
Skipping a beat like no one else can
Aching when you’re with someone
Breaking when you’re gone

That can see no one but you
I just don’t know if you can see me that way too
I don’t want to blink
For you might disappear
But I want to dream
A dream that feels like it was all real

But then I notice that
My hands were tied
My heart gets tired
I’ve cried and tears have dried
Still, there’s no YOU and I
